Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey (SNDT) Women’s University is the first Women’s University in India as well as in South-East Asia. SNDT Women's University is a women's university located in Pune, India. It is committed to providing quality education and empowering women.

The Villoo PoonawallaFoundation (VPF) has supported SNDT Women's University in its mission to provide quality education and healthy surroundings.

With commitment to enhance lives through a primary focus on education as one of the many factors, VPF has funded the renovation project of the two hostel buildings for girls of this century old University as well as the 1.5acre park that is a part of the campus. Both of these hostels post renovation will be named as Villoo Poonawalla Girls Hostel.
