Serum Institute of India Receives the Philanthropic Leader Award | ET Family Business Awards 2026
We were honoured to receive the Philanthropic Leader Award at the ET Family Business Awards 2026, accepted by our Chairperson, Natasha A. Poonawalla. This recognition reflects the values of Dr. Cyrus S. Poonawalla, Chairman and Managing Director of Serum Institute of India, and his belief in giving back and supporting the communities around us. We carry this legacy forward through our work across public health, healthcare access and community development, with a simple aim: to support where we can and contribute to improving lives.

Dr. Cyrus Poonawalla Secondary School at Naigaon, Purandar, Maharashtra has been upgraded with enhanced facilities and improved learning spaces designed to support students in their academic journey. With the capacity to support 1,500+ students from 10+ surrounding villages, the transformed campus is a step towards strengthening access to quality educational infrastructure in the region. Bishop’s School inaugurates new academic building, honours Cyrus Poonawalla
The Bishop’s School, Camp, on Tuesday inaugurated a new academic building at its Pune campus and honoured distinguished alumni Dr Cyrus S Poonawalla and Adar C Poonawalla for their contribution to the project and their longstanding association with the institution.

पुणे के कैंप में स्थित द बिशप्स स्कूल ने मंगलवार, 9 जून, 2026 को अपने पुणे परिसर में नए शैक्षणिक भवन का उद्घाटन किया। स्कूल के पूर्व-छात्र, डॉ. साइरस एस. पूनावाला ने मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में शामिल होकर इस कार्यक्रम की शोभा बढ़ाई।

बिशप स्कूलचा विद्यार्थी असल्याचा अभिमान : डॉ. सायरस पूनावाला
बिशप स्कूलने मला केवळ शिक्षण दिले नाही, तर माझ्या संपूर्ण आयुष्याचा भक्कम पाया घातला. आज मी जे काही आहे, त्यामागे या शाळेचे मोठे योगदान आहे. त्यामुळे बिशप स्कूलचा माजी विद्यार्थी असल्याचा मला सार्थ अभिमान आहे. शाळेच्या विकासासाठी कोणत्याही प्रकारची मदत करण्यास मी कायम तयार आहे,” असे प्रतिपादन सिरम इन्स्टिट्यूट ऑफ इंडियाचे संस्थापक व पद्मभूषण डॉ. सायरस पूनावाला यांनी केले.
