Building a Better World
Bringing meaningful change in the world is the core philosophy of the Villoo Poonawalla Foundation. We believe true transformation comes from nurturing the roots of society - quality education, affordable healthcare, and complete inclusivity.

About Us
Dr. Cyrus S. Poonawalla founded the Villoo Poonawalla Foundation in 2012 to carry forward the legacy of Mrs. Villoo C. Poonawalla. Over the years, we have worked with several local partners, industry peers, and supported organizations like IDCA (Indian Deaf Cricket Association). We also back NGOs like Saheli and Muskaan, and remain committed to uplifting transgender communities.

World Book Day: Bringing Stories and Communities Together
Stories don’t just live in books. They live in people, places, and everyday moments. This year, for Pune’s World Book Day 2026, we took literature into social spaces, where it can be experienced, felt, and shared. From libraries nurturing young readers, to communities creating opportunities, to spaces filled with real-life stories, each location brought a different perspective to literature.
