We were delighted to receive the Philanthropic Leader Award at The Economic Times Family Business Awards 2026, accepted by our Chairperson, Natasha A. Poonawalla. The Villoo Poonawalla Foundation was established in memory of the late Mrs Villoo Cyrus Poonawalla. Her values continue to shape the Foundation & work and the responsibility with which it is carried forward. From the outset, the purpose was clear. To support work that is meaningful, sustained, and grounded in real need. Over time, the Foundation has built a diverse portfolio of initiatives across healthcare, education, sanitation, environmental sustainability, skill development, and social welfare. These areas reflect the realities faced by communities and the belief that access, dignity, and opportunity must go hand in hand. Our work is focused on strengthening systems and institutions that serve people over the long term. A defining feature of the Foundation & approach has been consistency. Many initiatives highlighted in this report have been developed gradually through long-standing partnerships and careful engagement. Progress has come through commitment, trust, and accountability, rather than speed. This is work that requires patience and responsibility, but it delivers lasting impact. As Chairperson, I am deeply conscious of the responsibility that comes with leading a Foundation created in Villoo Poonawalla & memory. I remain grateful for the guidance of Dr.Cyrus Poonawalla and for the teams and partners whose integrity and dedication sustain this work. Their effort is central to everything the Foundation has been able to achieve. Looking ahead, the Foundation will continue to build on what has been established, strengthen credible partnerships, and respond thoughtfully to evolving needs. Our commitment is to remain focused, responsible, and effective in contributing to stronger communities and a more equitable future.
