social inclusivity
Laxmi Narayan Tripathi
An activist working to build an inclusive society for transgender individuals.

Laxmi Narayan Tripathi is a transgender/Hijra rights activist, actress, dancer, choreographer and motivational speaker. She often speaks on the subject of sexual minorities and leads initiatives for the upliftment of transgender individuals.
Tripathi, who identified social exclusion as a major issue for the transgender community, has been taking active efforts to promote and practice inclusivity in all areas of life. She also works on reducing discrimination, creating employment opportunities, and providing adequate educational and medical facilities for transgender people.
Among the many initiatives run and supported by Tripathi is the Pride Business Network Foundation (PBNF), a transgender and minority-owned business fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in all sectors. The foundation supports several smaller entities by championing social justice, gender inclusivity, and economic empowerment.
The organization’s initiatives - The Trans Cafe, Transformation Salon, Annapurna Community Kitchen, Astitva Labs, and others - practice complete inclusivity and create livelihood opportunities for transgender people and other marginalized groups.
The Villoo Poonawalla Foundation proudly supports Tripathi’s efforts and stands firmly behind her to create an inclusive environment for transgender individuals in society. Through our collaborative efforts, we have impacted thousands of lives and aim to expand our reach even further.
